About MOTS-c
MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded by a short open reading frame within the mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene. It was first described in 2015 as one of a small group of mitochondrial-derived peptides.
Its sequence contains two methionines and a tryptophan, so it benefits from careful storage that limits exposure to air and light. Saevin supplies it as a lyophilized powder in a sealed vial.
Each batch is held to ≥99% purity, confirmed by an independent lab, with a certificate of analysis for the batch. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
